SHAN STATE – The clashes broke out in the Kyaukgu area of Lawksawk Township, and the junta army fired artillery shells, destroying two religious buildings and 15 residential houses, according to an official of Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA).
On the morning of January 14, the DPLA attacked the terrorist junta forces carrying out offensive attacks to send reinforcements to the Kyaukgu area from Lawksawk Town, and the skirmishes lasted around two hours.
“The clashes broke out as the junta army sent its reinforcements from Lawksawk. The junta army fired artillery shells, destroying two religious buildings and 15 residential houses. We are treating the injured,” said the official of DPLA.
During the fighting, the junta deliberately fired heavy weapons into villages inhabited by civilians, damaging two religious buildings and 15 civilians’ houses, and burning two residential houses to the ground.
On January 15, the terrorist junta army also fired artillery shells, injuring a civilian.
The junta has been recklessly firing civilians’ areas that are not military targets, and it landed inside Hke Kyar Village and Hpet Yin Kone Village, damaging the buildings.
