MYANMAR – Two junta soldiers who were forcibly conscripted by the terrorist junta council in Salin Township of Magway Division and Shwebo Township of Sagaing Township respectively had brought two weapons and entered the legal fold, reported an official from the Eastern Magway Team of Kyokyarni (Red Crane) People’s Defence Force (PDF).
The two from Mobye Battalion 422 had entered the legal fold on December 19.
“We have plans to reward those who entered the legal fold. I would like to advise those who plan to enter the legal fold to make sure they have mobile phone contacts. Currently, the two of them are placed with our rear forces and are going under scrutinization. We have allowed them to stay freely with our rear line forces without much restrictions,” said the official from the Eastern Magway Team of Kyokyarni PDF.
The two junta soldiers who entered the legal fold were said to have brought two MA-1 rifles, one 14 mine, and 258 bullets and were reportedly from the first and fifth batches of conscription.
When questioned by revolutionary forces, the two were reported to have replied that they wish to attack the administration officers who forcibly conscripted them into the army.
“We asked the two if they wish to return to their parents or their families or if they wish to join us in the revolution. One of them expressed his desire to work with us and to eliminate the administration officer who sent him to the army, as well as the junta pillars in his village. He wishes to join us. The other replied that he wishes to return to his family,” the official continued.
