MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council shelled two villages in Monywa Township, Sagaing Division, killing two civilians and injuring seven, reported an official from Monywa-Ahmyint Road Fact Check Team.
On August 11 around 9:30 a.m. the heavy artillery shells fired by the terrorist junta council’s Ma U checkpoint exploded in Linpoe Village and Linpinwa Village. Nine civilians were caught in the blast and two of them died on the spot.
The two deceased victims killed by junta artillery attacks were 67 years old Ms. Saw Htay and 45 years old Ms. Tuu, both residents of Htanlaypin Village.
The junta terrorists are said to be shelling the villages in southern Monywa, in the region of Monywa-Ahmyint Road daily which have resulted in numerous civilian casualties.
Meanwhile in Muu Township, Bago Division, junta infantry battalion 73 was reported to have fired three artillery shells on August 9 around 11:10 p.m., one of which fell in Kyaukgyipauk Village and destroyed three houses.
