MYANMAR – The clashes broke out in Madaya and Thabeikkyin township of Mandalay Division and Nawnghkio Township in Shan (North) State. The terrorist junta army launched artillery attacks on the monastery of Htan Taw Kone Village in Madaya Township, killing two children, according to Mr. Osmond, spokesman of People’s Defense Force – Mandalay.
It was reported that the fights occurred between People’s Defense Force – Mandalay (MDY – PDF) and the terrorist junta forces in Madaya, Thabeikkyin and Nawnghkio townships.
On December 26, at around 3:20 p.m., the terrorist junta army fired artillery shells on the monastery of Htan Taw Kone Village in Madaya Township, and two children were killed, and three others were injured.
“The junta army fired from Let Kaung Lay Village of Madaya Township. There was no fighting today, but the junta army fired on the area, killing two children and injuring three civilians,” said Mr. Osmond.
The People’s Defense Forces (Mandalay) said that the terrorist junta had carried out target artillery attacks on civilians and repeatedly committed war crimes against the civilians, as they suffered defeat in war.
