MYANMAR: Arakan Army (AA) captured the junta’s military bases and camps in Gwa, southernmost region of Arakan (Rakhine) state on December 29. So, there have been (94) towns which were captured by the revolutionary forces in Spring Revolution. Among (17) townships in Arakan state, AA has captured (14) townships.
The junta’s soldiers recklessly and chaotically retreating from Gwa have been following and attacking by AA. On the other hand, as the junta’s council is attempting to reinforce the soldiers to re-enter Gwa, there are still ongoing battles in Gwa township, said by AA spokesman Mr. Khaing Thukha on December 29.
Currently, as the battles to capture the towns, Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and its alliances are still attacking the rest of the junta’s military bases and camps in Bhamo and Mansi, Kachin state. Similarly, Chin Brotherhood Alliances are attacking Falam and the cooperative alliance forces of People’s Defence Force (PDF) and All Burma Students Democratic Front (ABSDF) are attacking Inndaw.
