SHAN STATE – Ta’ang (Palaung) National Party – TNP announced that it is against the sham election of the terrorist junta council and vowed to stand together with the people to eradicate military dictatorship and build a Federal Democratic Union.
The party made the announcement stating that it is against the sham election by the terrorist junta council and welcomed the works done and successes achieved to eradicate military dictatorship by the 1027 Operation and other revolutionary forces in the Spring Revolution after holding its party congress.
TNP stated that it will collaborate to implement the stages of the political roadmap by the Ta’ang Political Consultative Committee (TPCC) and vowed to stand together with the people and join in the efforts to achieve eradication of all dictatorship including military dictatorship and the building of Federal Democratic Union which are the ultimate goals of the Spring Revolution spearheaded by the people and the ethnic revolutionary organizations.
The TNP Congress was held on December 24 and 25 and was attended by 93 individuals including members of the Central Committee, representatives from civilian groups and observers.
It was also announced that 38 central committee members, 21 central executive committee members, the central chair team as well as the general secretary team for the fourth term of the party were democratically elected at the third TNP Congress.
TNP was established on May 24, 2010. The party had taken part in the 2010, 2015 and 2020 elections and had won multiple seats.
