MANDALAY DIVISION- The TNLA News and Information Department announced on December 19 that 300 military informants, drug dealers, and users in Mogok Township were arrested and prosecuted.
From July to December 19th, the Brigade-2 of Taang area, Mogok Township, PSLF/TNLA’s (Mogok) Law Enforcement Forces carried out anti-narcotics operations and reportedly arrested 300 drug users and dealers.
The TNLA News and Information Department said that among those detainees, many were allowed to sell and use drugs in exchange for information from the TNLA and allies since the previous military council control period.
The arrested drug users will be sent to the behavior reform school to undergo treatment/training for exactly 6 months. Moreover, actions will be taken against drug dealers under the anti-narcotics law.
After the PSLF/TNLA launched Operation 1027 (Part 2) and attacked and seized Mogok Township, they have been following the five steps; keeping peace in the community, law enforcement, public benefit activities, anti-narcotics activities, and public security affairs.
