AYEYARWADDY DIVISION – A local news source reported that three junta policemen, who went swimming drunk, drowned to their death near a shrine in Thidakonepyin Village of Yekyi Township.
It is said that the three junta forces drowned in the stream near the shrine of Thidar mother and Thidar siblings on January 25.
The three were said to be reinforcements sent to Yekyi Township from Hinthada Township. Locals shared that they must have drowned because they got drunk and committed acts inconsiderate of the local deity near a shrine.
In addition, local sources reported that the junta council is forcing residents to recite the sutra for safety during the summon of Nigawdra Arahant in Pathein.
The administration officers appointed by the terrorist junta council reportedly forced the people to recite the sutra at the stages holding the summon of the Arahant and ordered the ward administration teams to submit photos and videos of the people reciting the sutra on the determined date and are also pressuring the stages that have yet to arrange the recitation.
Currently, the terrorist junta council troops in Chaungtha and Pathein are terrified by the offensives of the Arakan Army (AA). The junta soldiers that died after being heavily injured in battle at Bawmi Village were also cremated at Shwemyintin Cemetery on January 24.
