MAGWAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta army had continuously carried out arson attacks for area clearance operations in the villages on the border areas of Myit Chay and Kamma towns to supply rations for Defence Product Industries (DPI) in Seikphyu Township, forcing tens of thousands of locals to run away from their homes.
On December 30, the terrorist junta troops conducting offensives in Pakokku Township, carried out offensive attacks in the villages on the border areas of Myit Chay and Kamma towns, and burned and destroyed Chaing Village.
The terrorist junta army was stationed between Kamma and Myit Chay towns, with over 150 forces. Moreover, it is reported that it has been divided into three columns and recklessly fired artillery shells. A total of 31 military vehicles have left from 101th Light Infantry Division based in Pakokku Town to deliver rations to the Defence Product Industries in Seikphyu Township.
Due to the junta’s arson raids for area clearance operations, tens of thousands of locals from more than 13 villages near Myit Chay Town such as Inn Waing, Mone Nat Kone, Htan Taw Chauk, Hpet Pin, Mone Kone, Pan Chi Su, Thant Zin, Tha Yet Taw, Toe Chae 123, Kyet Shar, Ywar Thar Aye, Swea Gyi and Oh Bo, and more than eight villages near Kamma Town.
“It was not two junta columns. It has three junta columns including reinforcements. It was supposed that those junta columns might conduct area clearance operations along their way to deliver rations and supplies. A total of 31 military trucks with supplies are leaving from Pakokku, at around 11:30 a.m., today. Those supplies trucks may head to No. 22 Defence Product Industry in Seikphyu. That’s what I guess. There are around 150 junta forces in three junta columns. The number of villages that are being evacuated is also quite large. There are tens of thousands of people,” said a local revolutionary source.
