MYANMAR – Mr. Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, the Union Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office visited the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) training schools and met and greeted the training teams and trainees, served lunch and provided them with necessary equipment.
In his meeting with the trainees, the Union Prime Minister expressed his respect and gratitude to the young people “who sacrificed their own lives and joined the revolution as PDFs (People’s Defence Force). The PDFs are those who are writing the new history of Myanmar with their lives, blood and sweat. When we rebuild the country that has been backward due to the military dictatorship, we must build it with the strength of these young people. Therefore, comrades and soldiers should take care of each other and achieve military goals.”
The Union Prime Minister was accompanied on the trip by Mr. Kyaw Ni, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Labour, Personal Assistant of of the Union Prime Minister, Ms. Kyi Pyar, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Nay Phone Latt, Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Yin Mar, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government, Comrade Saw Shar, Commander of the Southern Military Region, Sub-Military Region (2), Dr. Law Ka Nat, Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Defense, Comrade Aung San Shyar, Commander of the Southern Military Region Special Operations Force (SOF) Comrade, People’s Defence Forces (PDF) and the officials from the People’s Defence Organizations.
