MAGWAY DIVISION – Minbu district battalion 7 issued a statement on December 2 saying that the revolutionary alliance forces attacked three junta council troops who were stationed in the gate at the Maezali-Setaw suspension bridge, in Pwint Phyu township, Magway division. The shooting broke out for 20 minutes. Due to the shooting, two junta council troops were killed. Two more junta council troops were killed as the revolutionary forces blasted them (the junta council troops) while they were coming to bring back the dead body.
The revolutionary alliance forces opened fire at three junta council troops who were standing guard at the gate on the side of Setaw, at around 6:30 a.m. on November 27. Due to the attack, one junta council troop was killed at the scene. One more junta council troop was also killed as the revolutionary forces opened fire by going after two injured troops who run away.
The revolutionary forces managed to confiscate one G-2 machine gun, three cartridges, 28 bullets, two phones and other military equipment from the killed junta council servant.
The revolutionary alliance forces also blasted a junta council column consisting of 20 junta council troops who had come to bring the dead bodies back, at around 1:30 p.m. Due to the blasting, two more junta council troops were said to have been killed. The number of the injured junta council troops was not yet known.
Those attacks were jointly carried out by Minbu district battalion 7, Magway division People’s Defense Organization, Yenanthar Column and Pwint Phyu People’s Defense Organization.
