CHIN STATE – All junta and police forces stationed in Kanpetlet deserted their bases at midnight on December 21, and the people and Revolutionary Forces had controlled the town, according to a source of CDF-Kanpetlet.
At midnight on December 21, all junta soldiers and police forces stationed in Kanpetlet Town began to withdraw from the town, and all military bases in the town were withdrawn, leaving no military junta troops in Kanpetlet Town.
“All the junta soldiers and police forces have left Kanpetlet. That’s why there were no military personnel in Kanpetlet in the morning. Now Chin Brotherhood Alliance have taken up their positions there. There was no fighting. The Revolutionary Forces control over the entire Kanpetlet Township without a single shot,” said a local source based in Kanpetlet.
At present, the entire Kanpetlet Township is under the control of Chin Brotherhood Alliance and was clearing the area in military bases.
