MANDALAY DIVISION – According to the accountable person of Freedom Fighter Guerrilla Force, the revolutionary alliance forces intercepted the junta council troops who left from Lelthit village to conduct offensive attacks towards the civilian villages. Due to the interception, two junta council troops were said to have been killed, in Myingyan township, Mandalay division.
On December 29, the revolutionary forces intercepted the junta council troops who left from Lelthit village, Myingyan township, at a place in the woods.
That attack lasted for 30 minutes. During the attack, two junta council troops were reportedly killed and three troops were injured. Following the attack, the defeated junta council troops retreated towards Lelthit village.
The accountable person of Freedom Fighter Guerrilla Force mentioned that “if the revolutionary forces united, even if the junta council troops came in a strong strength, we could stop them (the junta council troops). When we unitedly attacked them, they also had to retreat. Even though the fascist troops continuously fired back using Howitzers and 120mm motors, they couldn’t afford to penetrate into our area. We successfully intercepted their offensive attacks. Therefore, I would like to appeal to the other revolutionary forces to fight unitedly against the fascist council.”
That attack was jointly carried out by Freedom Fighter Guerrilla Force, LACR, 8 Stars and other revolutionary alliance forces.
