SAGAING DIVISION – The soldiers of the Chin State Defense Force (CDF) and the People’s Defense Army (PDF) Monywa District Battalion (3) who won in the Chin State Mindat battle were welcomed and congratulated by the local residents of the respective areas.
Mindat City was captured by Chin Brothers and its allies on December 21st.
After the city capture battle, the fighting forces returned to their original areas and held the welcoming celebrations to the victorious soldiers, according to photos and video footage from Mindat area news sources and Monywa District Battalion (3).
According to photos released from Mindat region news sources and CDF-Mindat Chief of Staff, Salai Htan Chan Pe, a ceremony was held on January 2nd to welcome the soldiers of CDF Battalion (3) of the victorious forces.
Similarly, Monywa District Battalion (3) welcomed the soldiers of PDF Monywa District Battalion (3) who took part in the battle to take over the city, and Monywa District Battalion (3) released on January 3rd.
The 3rd Battalion of Monywa District announced that the victorious soldiers were welcomed by the people of the revolution with eugenia leaves.
They have fought for more than 40 days and 7 comrades from the 3rd Battalion of Monywa District killed in action. Soldiers from other CDF units and allies were also killed.
The junta council army also suffered casualties and confiscated many POWs and ammunition.
