MANDALAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta council reportedly carried out aerial bombings on Chaung Gyi Village in Thabeikkyin Township without any fight, killing two and injuring 16, according to Bo. Lin Yone of Thabeikkyin People’s Defence Organization (PDO).
On January 2, at 8:01 p.m., a junta military aircraft dropped two bombs on Chaung Gyi Village in Thabeikkyin Township. It was an intentional airstrike attack by the junta council using fighter jets and targeting residential houses, non-military targets, and two people were killed and 16 others were injured.
“The dead were civilians. The bombs were dropped without any fighting,” said Bo. Lin Yone.
In addition, the junta’s deadly aerial bombings also destroyed 23 residential houses, a fire station, a shrine, a religious building, the office of Metta San Yae, a relief organization, and five charity vehicles.
