SAGAING DIVISION – According to an accountable person of Monywa district battalion 2—Company 1 (Ywar Zaw Gyi Company), the fascist junta council abducted 200 civilians to use as human shields and maneuver in columns in Butalin township, SAGAING division. Moreover, they (the junta council servants) pillaged the civilian-owned bullock carts along the way to their invasion.
In the early morning on December 27, the junta council column which left Butalin town abducted numerous civilians in the town as human shields and have continuously conducted offensive attacks towards the nearby villages.
That junta council column has abducted 200 civilians as human shields and pillaged 4 bullock-carts along the way of their invasion.
At the moment, due to the junta council’s invasive attacks, over thousands of civilians have been forced to flee from numerous villages. And the junta council servants have continuously abducted the civilians as human shields along their way.
The accountable person of Monywa district battalion 2 – company 1 (Ywar Zaw Gyi company) mentioned that “the junta council column has continuously abducted the civilians along the way of their invasive attacks and used the civilians as human shields. They (the junta council troops) also pillaged the bullock carts which were owned by the civilians. They used the bullock carts to carry their equipment. They have continuously ransacked and pillaged the villages.”
At the moment, the stated junta council column invaded Sipa village and ransacked the civilians’ houses.
Similarly, at around 4 a.m. on December 25, the junta council troops who left the Northwestern Regional Command (NWRC) abducted more than 50 civilians along their way to invasion. They launched offensive attacks towards Zeetaw village, Shwe Chaung Le village, Thayet To village and Kan Thit village by using the abductees as human shields and went back to Butalin town.
