MYANMAR – As the TNLA captured Hsipaw town on October 13th, in the second part of the 1027 operation led to the capture of 5 cities by the TNLA. The TNLA-led coalition forces captured Nawnghkio, Moegok, Mongmit, Kyaukme and Hsipaw in the second part of Operation 1027, which began on June 25th. The coalition forces led by the MNDAA captured and controlled the city of Lashio, including the North-eastern Regional Military Command.
The People’s Defense Army (Mandalay) was also able to capture and control Sintgu township in the Shan-Man operation along with the second wave of 1027 and captured more than 30 military bases in Madaya. At the same time, the PDF, People Defense Bodies and joint forces were able to capture and control Tagaung and Thabeikkyin in Mandalay division.
Hence, only Muse, Namlan, Mong Yai, a few Taungkham artillery camps in Nawnghkio township remains under junta’s control.
