SAGAING DIVISION – According to the local civilians, the fascist junta council troops threatened and pillaged fishes and meats by using guns in the Myona market, Kalay town, Sagaing division. Following that, they went back to the Infantry Battalion 89 to hold the New Year celebration.
At around 7 a.m. on December 31, the fascist troops raided Kalay Myoma market and pillaged pork, chicken, fish and beef by threatening the vendors using guns.
Moreover, they (the junta council troops) also forcibly took a pig from a house near Myoma market. After that, they celebrate New Year ceremony in the infantry Battalion 89.
A local civilian mentioned that “at around 7 a.m. the junta council troops, police and Pyu Saw Htee militants from Myoma police station came and looted meats from the vendors. They (the junta council servants) are cooking to celebrate the New Year ceremony in the Infantry Battalion 89. While looting, they covered their faces. They even would like to celebrate the new year’s ceremony. They are shameless. They are absolute scums.”
