MAGWAY DIVISION – Two junta police lance corporals that came to find out the information of revolutionary forces in Yenangyaung Township were captured dead by revolutionary forces, announced Yenangyaung People’s Defence Force (PDF) on December 12.
It is said that the revolutionary forces received information that the two junta police officers from the police station in Latmhatkone Area were scouting the information of revolutionary forces in civilian disguise and captured them dead around 11 a.m. on December 11.
The revolutionary forces reportedly waited for them and stopped them on the Magyeetine-Phoekoe Road but they resisted using a hand grenade and thus were shot at.
A hand grenade, three mobile phones, documents and a backpack were confiscated from the two police officers.
The arrest and attack was carried out by Yenangyaung PDF, Tamar Myay Special Column and Midland’s Dolphin Column.
