MANDALAY DIVISION – An official from Taungtha Township People’s Defence Force (PDF) reported that they captured a police couple from Yonesingyi Police Station in Taungtha Township who came out shopping with a weapon.
On January 6 evening, junta policeman Kyaw Thaung from Yonesingyi Police Station and his wife were on their way back after shopping when the soldiers of Taungtha Township PDF arrested them.
It is said that a G3 gun and 15 bullets were seized from the captured policeman.
The official from Taungtha Township PDF said that the two are being detained according to POW laws and that necessary actions will be taken.
