MAGWAY DIVISION – In Thayet Prison, prisoners captured the prison staff that was smuggling in WY tablets and reported him to the warden but no action was taken, according to sources close to the prison.
It is said that the prisoners captured the prison staff with WY tablets as evidence on December 13 and handed him to the warden but the warden did not take any action.
“Under the orders of Officer Kyaw Zayar Soe and female employee Ms. Zun Zun Aye, employee Ko Ko Ye Lin smuggled in WY tablets hidden in packets of rice noodles. The prisoners reported it and the packets were opened up and checked in front of Warden Nyunt Bo Win, leading to the discovery of the tablets,” said a source close to Thayet Prison.
However, despite the evidence, the warden did not take any action on the three involved as they were all followers of Prison Department Director Min Soe. It is said that those WY tablets are being distributed in the prison by Thar Gyi, a criminal prisoner who was jailed for robbery.
It is learned from the community of Thayet Prison staff that the prison warden did not arrest Mr. Ko Ko Ye Lin who was caught with the drugs but instead told him to move somewhere else after giving him money.
