Ko Thaik Tun Oo said that the Department of Prisons needs to take action as soon as possible to our group’s monthly requests to prevent deaths due to inadequate health care in prisons. These requests include to fully accept foreign medicines sent by family members, to have enough medicine in the prison, to provide adequate health care to sick and injured patients in prisons and to transport important patients to the hospital outside the prison in a timely manner.
Ko Myo Min Oo was arrested by the terrorist army on October 17, 2022. He was imprisoned in Insein Prison under Sections 51(c) and 52(b), and after being sentenced on May 31, 2024, he was transferred from Insein Prison to Daik-U Prison.
