KAREN STATE – No. 2 Southern Military Region announced that the People’s Defence Force (PDF) completely captured the terrorist junta council’s Sinswe and Taungtonelone camps, confiscating a large number of arsenal including heavy weapons.
It is said that the revolutionary forces captured Sinswe and Taungtonelone camps, located in Hpapun District, on December 7 and 11.
Sinswe camp was captured on December 7 by Sub Region 2 of Southern Military Region, People’s Defence Force, Karen National Liberation Army, Bamar People’s Liberation Army and FFD Drone Team.
Taungtonelone camp in Hpapun District was captured on December 11 by joint forces of KNLA and allied revolutionary forces.
It is said that the revolutionary forces captured a large number of weapons and ammunition including 120mm and 81mm mortars. The captured camps are strategically important camps controlling the transport between Hpapun and Kamamaung.
