MYANMAR – The National Unity Government (NUG) sent a message for the 36th anniversary of the 8888 uprising that falls on August 8.
NUG said that it will hold onto the 8888 spirit that has stayed alive for 36 years to work together with the people all over the country including the allied ethnic forces to continue the battle towards victory for the goal of the Spring Revolution namely democracy, national equality and the formation of the Federal Union.
In addition, NUG mentioned that the international community as well as the people of Myanmar has borne witness to how the military dictator and associates continue to commit countless war crimes and that in order to find justice for those crimes, NUG is working hand in hand with the allied ethnic forces and the people to resist the junta regime from various directions including political, military, finance, diplomatic and public sectors, expanding the controlled territory and achieving wins.
