MYANMAR – The National Unity Government (NUG), Karen National Union (KNU), Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) and the Chin National Front (CNF) issued a joint announcement, saying they will expand their efforts to arrest war criminal terrorist junta chief Min Aung Hlaing who will be issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC) and bring him to justice.
In the joint statement published on November 30th night, the revolutionary organisations stated that they will increase their efforts to help the international community arrest and charge criminal Min Aung Hlaing who will be issued an arrest warrant by the ICC for his crimes against humanity and also to hold him accountable via the international juridical systems such as the ICC and ICJ after bringing to light his crimes against humanity committed against the people of Myanmar.
ICC Prosecutor Karim AA Khan stated to the ICC on November 27 to issue an arrest warrant for terrorist junta leader Min Aung Hlaing for his crimes against the Rohingya people and the revolutionary organisations welcomed it in their joint statement, saying that it was the first time in the history of the Myanmar military to be issued an arrest warrant for crimes against humanity by an international court which could be seen as an urgent call for change to not just the Myanmar military but also its security system, juridical system and political system.
The joint statement also mentioned that everyone associated with the terrorist junta leader is sure to be ruined and invited the soldiers of the Myanmar military to save the military from the hands of the war criminal, and to cooperate in the new security sector in accordance with the principles of federal democracy to transform into a positive military fitting the needs of the people that is uninvolved in politics and protects the people.
In addition, it was also warned that the election headed by the criminal junta chief wanted by the ICC will not be legitimate but would just become another jump into the dark history and definitely won’t become a political exit either for the military or the country.
The neighbouring countries, ASEAN, UN and the international community are also warned to be cautious to not abet war crimes via various manners of association with the terrorist junta council led by its criminal chief.
NUG, KNU, KNPP and CNF also vowed to bring interim justice for the people harmed by the war crimes and crimes against humanity and to ensure that repeated military coups by the military won’t happen in the future nation.
