MYANMAR- NUG managed to arrange for the return of 129 Chinese migrant workers home, who have been trapped in the conflicts in Myanmar, NUG Acting President Duwa La Shi La said.
In his 2025 New Year speech, the Acting President addressed the aforementioned issue.
“The National Unity Government is always trying to improve international relations, including neighboring countries in the region.
It has been a while since the Chinese workers from the project invested in Myanmar could not return home, so the NUG government helped them to return home,” the acting president mentioned.
“Due to the current conflicts, Chinese migrant workers in Myanmar could not return home for about 4-5 years. NUG managed the safe return of 129 Chinese nationals to reunite with their families before Chinese New Year.
We are happy that the NUG government has been able to cooperate so that Chinese citizens can return home safely,” said the Acting President.
NUG’s acting president requested the governments of neighboring countries not to associate with or support the Junta regime only for their interest.
