MYANMAR – Acting President Duwa Lashi La of the National Unity Government (NUG) congratulated the Arakan Army on its complete capture of the junta council’s Western Command, called it a sign that the junta regime is nearing its end and vowed to work together for the eradication of the junta council in his message to the Arakan Army.
The NUG Acting President said that he is proud of the courageous battles of the brave warriors of the Arakan Army that led to the capture of the junta Western Command on December 20, adding that it is a victory not just for the people of Rakhine State but also for the citizens of Myanmar and revolutionary forces across the country fighting against the military dictator junta council for federal democracy and that it is a victory that brought the motivation level of the revolutionary spirit to the highest.
The Acting President also honoured the leadership of the Arakan Army, the sacrifices of the Arakan Army soldiers and the resilience and unity of the Arakan people that brought about this monumental victory and stated that the revolutionary forces successfully capturing two regional commands of the junta council in 2024 was a historic achievement that signals the approaching demise of the junta regime.
The Acting President also stated that he believes that the entire Rakhine State will be free from the junta council soon with the leadership of the Arakan Army and vowed to fight together for the freedom of the Myanmar and her people and for the complete eradication of military dictatorship and the junta council.
