MYANMAR – It was reported that the junta council’s Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an urgent alert and instructed its lackey Non-CDM officials and staffs to delete employee identifications, departmental work and photos on their mobile phones for security reasons, as non-CDM officials are being arrested on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway and the road.
The officials and employees working for junta council in various ministries, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, are being asked to obtain permission from the relevant ministry, and inquire about the road conditions from the army, police and general administration department in the relevant areas. The Non-CDM staffs are instructed not to carry employee identification cards, and delete departmental work and photos on their mobile phones.
“Employees have been instructed to be careful when traveling. The warning was issued before, but again instructed now. Additional clarification were explained what to avoid during traveling. The employees are asked not to bring their employee ID cards and to delete work related photos in the phone. They are instructed to notify the local military and police ahead for security when traveling in department vehicles,” said an official from the Nay Pyi Taw Fire Department.
On January 6, Than Htun, an assistant director and head of engineering department was inspected and arrested on his way from his hometown of Shwe Taung to Taunggyi, where he was assigned. The Toyota Surf vehicle used by Than Htun was also seized.
Similarly, the director of Fire department Shwe Ba and Ms. Khin Nwet Shwe have been arrested during a random inspection on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway on December 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., by the Local revolutionary Force, Aung San’s Land Natmauk.
Similarly, junta army’s corporal of the Support Corps, an armed militia Pyu Saw Htee, a soldier from Defence Equipment Factory, and Ms. Yu Yu Khaing, the wife of a captain were reportedly arrested on December 31, 2024, around milepost 262 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
