TANINTHARYI DIVISION: Launglon People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) announced on January 21 that the money (twenty four million, two hundred and eighty seven thousand and fifty kyats) confiscated by the members of PDO while the people who have been taking part in gambling with the reason of “Spirit Festival” at Kahtaungni village, Launglon Township, Tannintharyi Division were arrested by township PDO will be used for the revolutionary movement.
The gambling market was reportedly raided by Launglon PDO at 3 p.m. on January 20.
After raiding the gambling market, the gamblers, the related items and money were confiscated. The gamblers were released after being asked to provide fines and sign the pledge not to gamble again.
The gambling markets were strictly prohibited in the township by publishing announcements with the announcement number. So those who attempt to do the gambling must be taken serious actions.
Launglon PDO announced that the money (twenty four million, two hundred and eighty seven thousand and fifty kyats) confiscated from the gambling markets will be used for the revolutionary activities.
