KACHIN STATE – Kachin Independence Army (KIA) had started its offensive attacks in Khaunglanhpu Township of Puta-O District, and seized a militia camp with around 100 forces, according to KIA frontline source.
On December 15, at around 6:30 p.m., KIA attacked and captured Lar Hu Se militia camp that stationed with around 100 militants in Khaunglanhpu Township of Puta-O District. Many of militants had fled away during the fight.
“The camp was captured yesterday evening. The militants fled away. KIA seized weapons and ammunition, but details were not confirmed,” said the KIA frontline source.
The KIA has started its offensives in Puta-O District, while it has been attacking and capturing military camps across Kachin State.
Puta-O, Nawngmun, Pannandin, Sumprabum, Khaunglanhpu and Machanbaw townships includes in in Puta-O District. Except for Sumprabum Township, the remaining townships are townships that have not yet been attacked and occupied by the KIA.
