KACHIN STATE – Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and allied Revolutionary Forces attacked and acquired two junta’s guard posts of Infantry Battalion (IB) – 47 in Bhamo and carried out fierce offensives against all military posts in Bhamo and Mansi townships, according to KIA news source.
On December 4, at 5:00 a.m., KIA and allied Revolutionary Forces launched fierce offensives against all military posts in Bhamo and Mansi townships, and it was reported that they attacked and captured guard posts of IB-47 in Bhamo in the early morning.
“The Revolutionary Forces attacked and captured two junta’s guard posts of IB – 47, Hpan Hkar Kone and Nyaung Pin Thar, which are located between Bhamo and Mansi towns, outside of Bhamo Town, this morning. KIA and PDF allied forces are currently launching fierce offensives against all the military bases in Bhamo and Mansi,” a KIA source said.
The KIA-led revolutionary alliance forces were currently blocking and attacking Bhamo Town. At the same time, they were simultaneously attacking the remaining three military bases in Mansi Town, Light Infantry Battalion – 319 and 601, and No. 523 Artillery Battalion.
In northern Myanmar’s Kachin State, the KIA-led Revolutionary Forces had been combating the military bases and continuously conducting battles to capture towns and junta’s bases. People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) and allied Revolutionary Forces had been participating in those attacks along with KIA.
