RAKHINE STATE – Sergeant Myo Min Tun from junta artillery battalion 374 who had fired a howitzer shell after writing “gift for the 15th anniversary of AA” on it has reportedly become a POW captured by the Arakan Army (AA) after surrendering.
The junta sergeant from the Ann based artillery battalion is reported to have admitted that him firing that shell on April 10, 2024, the 15th founding anniversary of AA, was a foolish action that came about because of him being unable to control his own hands.
“I was the person who wrote “gift for the 15th anniversary of AA” and fired it on the anniversary of the Arakan Army on April 10, 2024. Now, I am detained by the Arakan Army after surrendering,” said the captured Sergeant Myo Min Tun.
He also added that a junta soldier who made fun of AA online was also killed in the battles in Ann.
