BAGO DIVISION – The terrorist junta council is preparing defenses in Pyay after sending over 50 trucks of reinforcements, reported local revolutionary news sources.
It is said that more than 50 military trucks of the junta council passed Oakshitpin around 10 p.m. on January 9, reinforced its troops along the Pyay-Oakahitpin Road and were setting up strong defenses in Pyay.
It is said that the reinforcements in Pyay are due to the battles on the Oakshitpin-Padaung Road which worries the junta regime that revolutionary forces might attack Pyay.
“Over 50 military trucks passed Oakshitpin and headed towards Pyay around 10 p.m. on January 9. All the trucks were fully loaded with soldiers. It is true that the junta dogs (junta council) are scared that Pyay might be attacked. They are reinforcing their forces in Pyay. They have been setting up concrete defenses in Pyay since December when their columns arrived in Tharyarwaddy District. The main thing is they are afraid that the battles at the border of Tongup and Padaung might spread to Pyay and so they prepared defenses in advance,” said a local revolutionary news source.
On the night of January 6, seven junta soldiers killed during the battles on the Oakshitpin-Padaung Road were secretly buried at Ayethukha Cemetery in Oakshitpin l, according to local residents.
In addition, the family members of junta officers in Oakshitpin were also alerted to prepare for evacuation due to the battles at the border of Tongup and Padaung.
