MAGWAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces raided Lintakai Hospital in Chauk Township, looted the medicine in six military trucks, and also torched three houses, reported an official from Arlawaka Urban Guerrilla Force.
Around 4 a.m. on January 14, junta forces numbering around 90 split into two groups and raided Salkan and Thithla Villages in Lintakai Prefecture.
After that, the terrorist junta forces raided Lintakai Hospital and looted the medicine, taking them away in six military trucks. In addition, the junta forces were reported to have burned down three houses in Salkan Village, stolen two cars belonging to civilians, and robbed items and cash amounting to about 70 million Kyats.
Revolutionary forces reportedly attacked those junta forces with four 60mm shells and although the attack possibly resulted in junta casualties, the exact numbers are not known.
“We don’t know the detailed casualties yet. We fired four 60mm shells at them. They launched an invasion of foot in two groups around 4 a.m. They burned down three houses in Salkan Village. They looted civilian properties, including two cars and cash belonging to residents of Lintakai Prefecture and called their cars to loot the items at Lintakai Hospital around 11 a.m. before leaving. Around 2 p.m., they changed into civilian disguises and set up hidden sentries on Awzartaw Road. They also searched and extorted the cars travelling on the road,” said the official from Arlawaka Urban Guerrilla Force.
The attack on the junta forces was carried out by Arlawaka Urban Guerrilla Force, Magway District PDF Coalition, Chauk Township People’s Defence Force and Chauk Township Revolutionary Coalition.
