MAGWAY DIVISION – An official from Daung Sitte Myaung Guerrilla Force reported that the terrorist junta council raided Kanthit Village in Yesagyo Township, torched the homes and abducted the residents.
On October 14, around 60 junta forces from infantry battalion 257 and 258 under junta infantry division 101in Yesagyo departed from Taungoh Village and raided Kanthit Village then proceeded to set fire to the houses in the southern part of the village.
It is said that those junta forces also abducted civilians when raiding the village but it is not yet clear how many were taken. Currently, the residents of the village are said to be scattered and fleeing aimlessly.
“Around 60 junta dogs (junta forces) from infantry battalion 257 and 258 came out of Taungoh Village this morning (October 14) and torched the houses in the toddy field to the south of Kanthit Village. We don’t know the extent of the damage yet. There were also civilians who were abducted. Because the residents are fleeing scattered, we are unable to confirm how many were abducted,” said the official from Daung Sitte Myaung Guerrilla Force.
The official added that those terrorist junta forces were still in Kanthit Village and it is not known where they are headed next.
