MON STATE: Theinzayat based People’s Defence Force said that Lieutenant Hein Zayar Oo from No.(310) Junta’s Artillery Battalion and his wife who had come PDF checkpoint in Theinzayat, Kyaikto township, Mon State to ask the way were reportedly caught and kept by Karen National Union- KNU.
It was reported that Lieutenant Hein Zayar Oo from No.(310) Junta’s Artillery Battalion based in Theinzayat and his wife came into the checkpoint guarded by the members of People’s Defence Force on the morning of October 12. They had entered into the PDF checkpoint with the thought that it was junta’s checkpoint to ask the way to his battalion and arrested. A gun, the documents of the Army officer and uniform had been confiscated from the lieutenant Hein Zayar Oo.
Later, Lieutenant Hein Zayar Oo from No.(310) Junta’s Artillery Battalion and his wife caught by PDF had been transferred to Karen National Union- KNU which had kept them in align with the law of prisoners of war.
