MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council is said to have formed an investigation body to investigate Director Kyaw Kyaw Win from Shan State Department of Roads after Assistant Director Than Tun from the junta Ministry of Construction was captured by the People’s Defence Force (PDF) on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway.
The junta Assistant Director (AD) from the Department of Roads under the Shan State Ministry of Construction, returning to Taunggyi from Shwetaung, was captured by revolutionary forces at the 262nd mile post on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway on January 6.
Following his arrest, the junta council is said to be investigating Director Kyaw Kyaw Win and the office chief, claiming that Director Kyaw Kyaw Win is responsible for the capture of AD Than Tun.
In addition, the junta council also notified the staffs from their subordinate ministries to take care of their own safety when traveling as the junta regime cannot guarantee their safety if they were arrested by revolutionary forces.
“Than Tun was inspected and captured by revolutionary forces on his way back to Taunggyi from Shwetaung. Now, Director Kyaw Kyaw Win of Shan State Roads Department and his office chief are being investigated,” said a source form the junta Ministry of Construction.
Similarly, revolutionary forces captured Director Shwe Ba and Ms. Khin Nwe Shwe from the junta Fire Department at 262nd mile post on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway on December 27, 2024; a junta corporal, a defense industry soldier, a Pyu Saw Htee militant and a wife of a junta captain on December 31, according to Barmahti from Aung San’s Land Natmauk.
