MANDALAY DIVISION – The junta forces raiding Myokone Village in Madaya Township were attacked and seven dead bodies of junta soldiers were recovered while weapons and a prisoner of war (POW) were captured, reported Mr. Osmond from People’s Defence Force (PDF) – Mandalay.
The terrorist junta forces invaded Myokone Village in eastern Madaya, part of the territory controlled by PDF Mandalay on December 2nd night, resulting in a battle. The PDF forces confronted those junta troops the whole day on December 3, forcing them to retreat in the evening.
“They launched the raid with around 80 troops. It was just the ground forces. There was no airstrike. They retreated towards Madaya Township,” said Mr. Osmond, the spokesperson of Mandalay PDF.
A POW and several weapons were said to have captured in the battle and around seven dead bodies of junta forces were also recovered. It is said that PDF Mandalay is fighting the terrorist junta forces almost daily in Madaya, Thabeikkyin and Nawnghkio Townships.
