SAGAING DIVISION – The junta column stationed at Thitkyinkyi Village in Ayadaw Township, Monywa Township killed three civilians including two teenaged boys from families of junta supporters then posted propaganda that they killed three PDF soldiers, according to local news sources.
Around 1:30 p.m. on January 27, junta supporters: 14 year old Watoke, 16 year old San Thu Chit and 40 year old Mr. Pho Zaw, who were staying in the forests near Thitkyinkyi Village were returning to the village to shower when they were shot and killed by hidden sentries of the terrorist junta council and Pyu Saw Htee militia.
“The three who were killed were their own supporters. Those three stayed in the forests outside Thitkyinkyi Village, close to the village. At the time they returned to the village to shower, there were false news that PDF forces were coming. So the Pyu Saw Htee hidden sentries shot at them, killing them. It was a result of misinformation among themselves. And yet, they lied that the victims were part of our PDF. They are just covering up their mistake,” said a local news source.
It is said that the junta council is claiming that the three were PDF soldiers with the junta lobby channels on Telegram spreading false news that the sentries carried out the attack after receiving accurate info that PDF forces would come and attack the junta base at Thitkyinkyi Village with mortars and three bodies of PDF soldiers, a handmade pistol and an ICON machine were seized.
“There was no battle. No one went to attack them either. It was just their own supporters. It happened around 1:30 p.m. The junta council is even killing their own supporters like this. So it is not safe even for the people who support them and the families of Pyu Saw Htee militants. That’s why we want them to see who the common enemy is and cooperate,” said a member of a local defence force.
Currently, military tensions are high between the revolutionary forces and junta council troops in Ayadaw Township and the junta council has tightened security in the town following rumors that the PDF forces might attack Ayadaw.
