SAGAING DIVISION – A revolutionary news source from Butalin Township reported that the junta forces abandoned Kutaw Region Police Station in Butalin Township that was heavily fortified with over 30 junta troops stationed.
Junta forces reportedly deserted the heavily fortified police station that was stationed by around 30 troops on December 31 and it is said that a junta column from Butalin came and collected those junta forces.
“The junta dogs (junta forces) from Kutaw Village Police Station were picked up by a junta column from Butalin. They left the station on December 31. We found out that they were gone on January 1 around 2 p.m. Ko Kywat Ka Lay Team from Butalin Township People’s Defence Organisation and People’s Defence Teams from Maung Htaung Region swept the area around the station,” explained the revolutionary news source.
It is said that People’s Defence Teams cleared out the police station, confiscating some items and also swept the landmines planted around the station.
“From what we know, the junta forces had planted multiple landmines inside and around the station. It is also said that cars, motorcycles, generators and furniture that were forcibly seized from the civilians were also recovered inside the station. The defence forces left after clearing the area. the junta dogs that abandoned the station had arrived in Butalin,” continued the revolutionary news source.
The defence teams that cleaned out Kutaw Village Police Station have yet to issue any statement.
