SAGAING DIVISION – An official from the Kantbalu Prefecture People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) Mobile Unit told the media that the junta column torched Ywarthitkone and Ywarma Villages last Friday (August 8) and more than 60 houses were destroyed by fire.
The junta column has been raiding Kantbalu region since July 25 and burned down the villages they passed by. That column entered Ywarthitkone and Ywarma villages on August 8 and torched more than 60 homes.
“Since July 25, the terrorist junta column has been continuously raiding the region. The military dogs (junta forces) are still stationed at the dam of Ywarma Village, about 100 strong. They are continuously raiding villages and burning them down. More than 60 homes in Ywarthitkone and Ywarma Villages were set on fire by junta dogs,” said the official from Kantbalu Prefecture PDO.
Due to junta arson attacks, 75 houses in Thayetkaung Village, 115 houses in Shantat Village, 65 houses in Maethal Village, 45 houses in Thabyaythar Village, 64 houses in Bokone Village, 60 houses in Payle Village, 10 houses in Supokekone Village and 40 houses in Nyaungzingyi Village were destroyed by fire.
