BAGO DIVISION – Local people reported that junta drones bombed the Hindu temple at Yannagar Village in Ahmaekhaung Village Tract, to the east of Zayawatti Town, Phyu Township. and seven civilians were killed.
The terrorist junta council bombed the temple on December 31, killing seven Hindu people who were at the temple on the spot. In addition, multiple people were injured and the temple was also destroyed.
According to the local people, fighting often breaks out between the revolutionary forces and the junta council troops between Zayarwatti and Nyaungchayhtauk Village in Phyu Township and the residents have been displaced.
Revolutionary forces frequently battled junta troops at the villages in Zayawatti starting December 20 and the junta council cut off mobile and internet networks in the region and also carried out bombing attacks using drones daily.
On December 29, in addition to the drone bomb attacks, the junta forces also raided the villages and looted precious items such as jewellery and motorcycles.
The terrorist junta council has been reinforcing its troops in the townships along the Bago Yoma ranges including Phyu Township and has also been increasingly conducting raids.
