SAGAING DIVISION – Residents reported that the junta council bombed Khampat Town in Sagaing Division that is controlled by revolutionary forces on January 16 night.
“There are already three bombs. They attacked although there was no battle,” said a resident.
It is said that the junta council bombed the town at 8:21 p.m., 8:22 p.m., and 8:36 p.m. The details of damages on the ground aren’t yet known.
Khampat was captured by the People’s Defence Force (PDF) under the National Unity Government (NUG) on November 7, 2023.
The junta council has been continuously bombing areas controlled by revolutionary forces since the beginning of this month.
