SHAN STATE – A jet fighter of the terrorist junta council bombed Fyikyut Village in Hsihseng Township, Pa’O Self-admiration Region, southern Shan State, killing two civilians and heavily injuring one, reported Khun Yein Yan from the PNLA information department.
Around 3 p.m. on January 11, the junta jet fighter flew over the village five times and dropped four bombs although there was no battle. As a result, three women returning from the fields were hit and two, a mother and child, were killed while the remaining one was heavily wounded.
“A jet fighter flew five over times and dropped bombs four times around 3 p.m. yesterday (January 11). Three bombs exploded but one didn’t. One of the bombs that exploded hit three people returning from the fields. Two were killed. They were mother and child, both women. The injured person is also a woman. They bombed the village without reason. The junta council is blatantly committing war crimes. There was no battle in that area either,” said Khun Yein Yan.
A junta jet fighter similarly bombed the headquarters of PNLO (Pa’O National Liberation Organisation) on December 31, unprovoked. PNLO/PNLA stated that such unprovoked bombings by the junta council are blatant war crimes.
