YANGON DIVISION – Joker Team announced that they used timed IEDs to attack Aung Phone Kyaw (aka) Singer Yone Lay, a main pillar of the terrorist junta council and his followers in Pyapon Street, Sanchaung Township.
It is said that the team attacked the residence of Singer Yone Lay in Pyapon Street with timed explosives at 9:05 a.m. and 11:38 a.m. on December 30, explaining that they targeted him as he has been organising events and propaganda for the terrorist junta council and also threatening other artists into signing guarantee letters alongside junta forces.
The team said that Yone Lay escaped the attack but his brother-in-law, one of his followers, was injured and their cars were damaged, adding that the terrorist junta forces came to rescue Yone Lay and his family immediately following the attack.
Joker Team also explained that Yone Lay was a difficult target to attack as he would move among civilians, using them as shields and that although they planned to deal the least amount of collateral damage, they apologized for injuring a civilian and damaging several houses and cars near the target.
The team vowed to chase and attack Yone Lay to the end of the world and stated that they will also target the junta pillars acting under the pretense of being artists.
