YANGON DIVISION- It was reported that the K-Ward administration office in North Oakkalar was attacked with 2 grenades, according to an official of North Oakkalar PDF.
On October 11, at around 8:38 p.m., the office of North Oakkalar Township K Ward, which was assisting the census and guest list checking processes of the Terrorist War Council, was attacked with 2 grenades.
“After detonation, there was a block inspection with police cars. The PDF members were forced to retreat as they saw the junta patrolling cars. We received reports of the locals being called to administration office for checking guest list and census collecting. We will continue to attack until their processes stop,” said the North Oakkalar Township People’s Defense Forces.
At the time of the attack, the junta soldiers, police, Ward Administrator, head of ten houses and hundred houses (junta-appointed administrative officers) were inside the office and the damage would be severe, explained the PDF official.
“Yes, I heard a loud explosion at around 8:30 last night. I don’t know where it blew up. There was indeed a bomb blast,” said a resident of North Oakkalar Township who lives near Oakkalar Roundabout.
The attack was reportedly carried out by the (YUPA) Yangon People Army and the North Oakkalar People’s Defense (PDF) and all members involved in the operation have safely returned.
