SOUTHERN SHAN STATE- Fight is going on in the Kyaukgu area, Yatsauk Township, and a civilian was reportedly killed due to the army’s air attack and heavy weapon fire, stated an official from the Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA).
On December 18 around 3 p.m., near Kyaukgu Artillery Battalion 349 (Ah-Ma-Ta 349), a battle occurred between the Dhanu People’s Liberation Army – DPLA and the military council forces.
The Terrorist Military Council targeted the residential areas during air attacks and it is reported that a civilian from Htaminpaung Village lost his life due to the army’s firing.
“The details of the casualties in the battle are not yet known. All our comrades are safe. As of yesterday (December 18) afternoon, the fighting is still going on. In the evening, the junta dogs retreated and it became quiet. The war dogs(Junta troops), are using air and heavy weapon attacks in excessive force. They also use drones and aerial bomb attacks on the villages. The fighting situation may continue, so the people are advised not to stay close to the military council troops. We want to urge people to pay attention to aviation risks and heavy artillery attacks,” an official from the Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA) said to the news agency.
Similarly, on December 10, the military council troops terrorized the villages in the Kyaukgu area with heavy weapons and drone bombing. An explosion occurred inside the monastery of Kyaukmikhat village and reportedly injured a person.
