TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The terrorist junta army carried out offensive attacks in Maw Taung Town, the border town in Tanintharyi Township, and fierce fights broke out between them and allied Revolutionary Forces, near Thein Khun Village, according to Myeik District Battalion – 2 of People’s Defence Force.
The junta column arrived at Thein Khun Village and had used the civilian vehicles on the Myeik – Tanintharyi Union Road, and had been using passenger cars for their safety and military purposes.
It was said that the military situation was tense between the allied Revolutionary Forces and the junta army in Myeik and Tanintharyi townships in Myeik District.
It was stated that travel on the Union Road, which could lead to clashes at any time, has been prohibited and that further warnings will be issued when travel will be allowed.
