RAKHINE STATE – Locals reported that there were fierce fights between Arakan Army (AA) and the terrorist junta army on the western part of Rakhine Yoma (mountain range).
The terrorist junta army placed its artillery battalion and carried out offensives in order to regain Ann-based Western Command, causing the clashes.
AA intercepted the junta forces, while they moved along Ann valley road, 12-miles away from Ann Town, on December 26.
“The junta army sent its reinforcements by using Ngape – Padan Road. They have deployed artillery battalions. They have also deployed a large number of its troops as they are afraid of AA’s attack on Defence Product Industry near Pa Dan.
In addition, the Arakan Army has occupied Sin Khon Tai Village near Rakhine Yoma (mountain range), he added.
The junta’s No. 14 Defence Product Industry and No. 905 Headquarters of Artillery Battalion are located in Pa Dan.
The People’s Defence Forces said that the terrorist junta army had deployed its reinforcements in Minbu and Ngepe townships by using Myanmar – China gas pipeline. Since the Revolutionary Forces are not fighting near the Myanmar-China gas pipeline, the military junta is attempting to move its operations along the pipeline.
