SHAN STATE – CDM Captain Zin Yeo said that the junta council and TNLA coalition forces have been fighting in the Taung Hkam area of Nawnghkio township in Northern Shan State since last night (December 12th).
It is reported that the junta council fired heavy weapons in the direction of Mam Maw and Nar Shao, and it exploded. A lady called New Thet Oo was killed and a child was injured in the hand and legs. TNLA transport for medical treatments.
In addition to that, a man who was harvesting corn outside the village was also hit by a heavy weapon and lost two of his fingers.
He said that the entire village of Mam Maw had reached the stage of hiding in bomb shelters.
In the western part of Taung Hkam village, the junta council soldiers killed and ate all the chickens, pigs, and dogs.
The battle was fierce all day long on the side of the artillery regiment (354). Only 11 families are left in the eastern part of Taung Hkam village because the monastery is still there, and they are living in danger because of the pigs, Chickens, and cows.
Last December 9th, in the afternoon, the junta council army fired three heavy weapons at Samma Sel village from the south of Tharetkone. The TNLA News and Information Department reported that an explosion occurred near the No. 1 sugar factory in the village. Two factory workers were hit in the head, a woman was hit in the leg by shrapnel, and two cars and some houses were damaged.
The PSLF/TNLA News and Information Department has issued a warning that people need to pay special attention because the army of the junta council fired with heavy weapons and continuous aerial bombardment so that the local people could not live and work for daily living in peace where there was no fighting.
